I am pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Engineering website. The Faculty of Engineering is one of IBU’s largest Faculty, combining excellence and innovation in both teaching and research with an international recognition for the highest quality.
This website has been designed to provide a full information on the Faculty of Engineering Departments curricula. In addition, it provides news on the full spectrum of the Faculty’s activities, such as, teaching, research, community and media engagement, impact and outreach.
Currently, the Faculty of Engineering offers five study programs: Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Our curricula combine all of the core analytical and quantitative techniques as well as technology required by modern engineering graduates. We aim to provide an exciting environment for studying and learning, without losing the friendly and folksy atmosphere for which Skopje is notable. We are proud to attract the very best students from most of the Balkan countries and abroad, including Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and work extremely hard to acquaint them with a wide range of specialist and applied options across all areas of engineering, taught by staff with strong external recognitions and considerable research experience. An engineering graduate from our Faculty is highly sought after in the job market, and well-placed to progress to graduate study. Thus, the Faculty of Engineering is the place where you can find your passion, believe in yourself, trust your knowledge, take risks and follow your dreams.
In teaching and research, the IBU ranks among the very best Universities in the country, as confirmed from the Shanghai Assessments in 2011-2012 and 2013-2014 which ranked IBU the best private University on a measure of teaching power. The Faculty of Engineering hosts to one major research center of 50 powerful computers and a number of research groups, with research interests covering the full range of engineering disciplines. We place great value in communicating our research to as broad an audience as we can, so if you would like to engage with our staff on research questions of the day, please do consult the Faculty’s academic staff page for a list of contacts who would be happy to help.
I hope that this site provides the necessary information for you, and also give you some sense for working or studying at IBU. Of course, if you have any further questions for us, then please do get in touch.
